Change of driver behaviour and attitude
Harnt: ‘It’s about changing attitudes and behaviour, which isn’t always easy when you've developed certain habits over the years. That’s why I always schedule a call a month after the training has finished to hear how things are going and if I might need to sit in with the driver again. We can also track progress through a software program that is linked to the on-board computer. Each driver can view their results in this program; these are then translated into a final rating.’
Harm increased his score from 7.7 to 8.5. ‘I’m very conscious of my driving style now and see the importance of getting my fellow drivers to understand this too. This way of driving economically has also made me calmer; I’m much more relaxed behind the wheel now.'
