Zero-emission milk transport from dairy farm to cheese factory

AB Texel is putting the first two fully electric truck-RMO combinations into service. This means that the transport, as well as the loading and unloading of milk, is completely emission-free.

Driving, loading and unloading without CO₂ emissions
Not only do the electric trucks operate emission-free, but no CO₂ is released either when loading the milk at the dairy farm or during unloading. Via an AC E-PTO, the truck supplies power to the pump system on the RMO semi-trailer.

Smart charging whilst working
The two electric trucks are used to transport milk to the cheese factory of parent company Royal A-ware in Heerenveen. At the loading bay to be constructed at this site, the vehicles can be charged whilst unloading the milk and rinsing. This means that charging takes no extra time and the vehicles remain fully operational within daily operations.

A suitable solution for every type of transport
Electric driving is one of the sustainable solutions within our fleet. Depending on the type of transport and the operating area, we also use (Bio-)LNG and HVO. In this way, we choose the most suitable, sustainable solution for every transport route.
