The move aligns with CNC's long-term strategy. The company aims to become Europe's largest substrates company by 2030, striving for high quality and efficient processes. To organise future-proof transport, a party with knowledge, scale and focus was chosen. As a strong player in agricultural transport, AB Texel will invest in renewing its fleet, making it more sustainable and optimising the utilisation of the network.
From October, AB Texel will provide both the transport of compost to nurseries and the supply of horse manure to the composting sites in Milsbeek and Moerdijk. Manure transport will continue as usual under the AMCO label. A careful process has been put in place for the employees concerned. They are transitioning into a specialist logistics company with a bright future in the agricultural sector. CNC connections benefit from a reliable transport partner focused on further professionalising the logistics chain.
The collaboration aligns with AB Texel's strategy to help partners achieve their ambitions sustainably, with economies of scale and network, expertise and data being key to success. CNC's transport activities are related to AB Texel's core business, creating synergies and economies of scale, enabling CNC in turn to focus on its core activity: producing high-quality compost for mushrooms.
